If it's macon, it's HERE.
Hotel 45 is a boutique hotel brand developed in partnership with Marriott, rooted deeply in the history and rhythm of downtown Macon.
The project began with place. The building sits at the corner of Cherry Street and Cotton Avenue, angled at a striking 45 degrees—a result of Cotton Street’s diagonal path through the city. That early, forward-thinking design made it possible to move cotton efficiently to and from the river. Without it, Macon wouldn’t be the city of heart and soul it is today.
From that geometry came the name. Hotel 45 stakes its claim as a new focal point in Macon while nodding to the city’s musical legacy—45-rpm records. The hotel positions itself as the keeper of this iconic corner, the record of its past, and the player of its stories.
I led the project from naming and brand strategy to visual identity and design direction—crafting a brand that honors innovation, music, and place, while feeling timeless, intentional, and unmistakably Macon.
